London, UK – January 11, 2005 Knowledge Space International MOBILIZES TSUNAMI RELIEF EFFORT
In response to the horrific Tsunami tragedy, Knowledge Space International, rapidly mobilized its global base of employees to come to the aide of the victims. In its London office, a charity luncheon was held on January 3rd to begin the fund raising process. Employees were also encouraged to make additional contributions of cash, clothing and blankets if possible. According to Ekta Singh, Director – HR, “the Knowledge Space International team really stepped up and through combined employee efforts raised over $6,000 in cash, and dozens of boxes of clothing and blankets were also contributed.” Additionally, the employee efforts were further matched dollar for dollar by the Knowledge Space International executive team resulting in over $12,000 in cash relief aide. Knowledge Space International offshore employees also got involved by directly contributing their time and efforts to deliver supplies to the victims in some of the most devastated Indian coastal communities. |
