Knowledge Space International has followed the Test Maturity Model to develop its testing capability. The model describes the processes that are used to ensure a well-planned & controlled testing of a project. There are 5 levels in the model:

Initial
Phase Definition-Institutionalize basic testing technique & methods
Integration-Control & monitor test process & integrate testing into software life cycle.
Measurement & Management-Establish test measurement program
Optimization, Defect Prevention and Quality Control

Knowledge Space International is currently in the process of obtaining Level 5 certification.

Knowledge Space International has developed a number of automated test tools, which are specific to a particular project. Currently, as part of its TMM level 5 initiative, Knowledge Space International plans to use industry-standard tools for testing. The following tools and skill sets are under consideration:

Code coverage tool for unit testing - Attol / Jtest
Non-functional testing tools for stress testing & performance testing - Silk Test Suite from Segue or Loadrunner from Mercury Interactive
